iPromote Site Update, version 2.3

Features and fixes included in this release:

Added stock photos for use in your promotions. When choosing promotion media from the Media Locker, you can now select from among several free stock photos to place in your ads. The system determines an appropriate set of stock images for each of your promotions, based on the contents of the site you're promoting.

Added support for CPM promotions. In addition to CPC (cost-per-click), you can now choose to pay for promotions on a CPM (cost-per-thousand impressions) basis. See the Advertising Lingo page for more information on CPC vs. CPM promotions.

More effective, more attractive promotion template. The new template allows you to convey more information through your ads. A mouse roll-over effect allows you to place more text on your ad, while maintaining an unobstructed view of the ad's images.

Added Description field for promotions. You can now add descriptive text to your promotions from the Edit your Ads screen. In most cases the system will automatically fill in the Description field for you, based on the content of the site you're promoting.

iPromote Makes Display Advertising Cost Competitive With Search

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - May 1, 2009 — iPromote (www.ipromote.com), an innovative self-serve display advertising company, has released a new user pricing model to lower the cost of display ads. iPromote has implemented a sophisticated auction-style bidding system, replacing the original fixed pricing model that has been in effect since launch. iPromote's new offering allows businesses to input their own pay-per-click ("PPC") price, making display advertising cost-competitive with search, by dramatically decreasing the pricing of iPromote's unique, automated one-click display advertising campaigns.

The iPromote bidded pricing model will automatically suggest a PPC range to advertisers based on their geo-targeting preferences. The amount an advertiser decides to bid has a direct impact on how often and in which order their ads will be served. This process allows businesses to pinpoint the exact price that results in the optimal success rate and the maximum number of impressions received per campaign.

iPromote enables users to easily access display advertising on a cost-per-click basis, the same way they have been using search ads. With iPromote, users get tens of thousands of ad views but only pay when people are delivered to their site, making it easy to measure the success of their campaigns. Unlike search-based text ads, iPromote's graphical display ads proactively drive people to designated websites. iPromote makes this possible by utilizing several patent-pending technologies that eliminate the costs associated with developing creative assets, buying ad space, and serving ads.

"Advertisers of any size can now proactively reach customers using online display ads in a manner that is cost-competitive with text-based search advertising," says Michael Barr, CEO of iPromote. "The current economic environment is leading more businesses to redirect their advertising dollars into online marketing which is already less expensive than traditional media. We want to make sure that we offer the most effective turnkey solution at the best price."

iPromote provides businesses of any size with self-serve access to online display advertising, which can be targeted locally to globally, through its one-click automated service. Using iPromote's real-time reporting, advertisers can see where their campaigns are the most effective and then concentrate future advertising and promotion efforts in those areas.

iPromote, a division of 2KDirect, operates offices in San Luis Obispo, California and New York, New York. iPromote simplifies display advertising, providing user-friendly solutions which eliminate the barriers that business and individuals face when advertising online. Their patent pending WebpageToAds™ technology automatically creates professional looking rich media display ads from existing webpage content saving advertisers precious time and money. 2KDirect also operates the PrecisionClick™ Network and AdXpert™ ad serving technology.
iPromote Site Update, version 2.2.6.2

Features and fixes included in this release:

Added a "News" section to the site. This new section contains press and reviews of iPromote, current events at the company, as well as new version feature and bug-fix lists for each new version of the site.

Removed the url auto-suggestor from the homepage of the site. The url input on the homepage was re-styled for clarity and simplicity of use.

A detailed invoice of promotion activity is now included in all billing-related emails sent to members.

Fixed a bug where certain media locker images were not being re-loaded into the media locker when editing an existing promotion. This occurred for any images that were not used directly by the ad and were not uploaded by the user.

Fixed a minor bug with the drill-down reporting on the geo-maps. In rare situations, the number of impressions/clicks at the "Local" map level was incorrectly reported. This was a reporting bug only, and did not affect where the ads were actually served.

Fixed a styling issue on the promotion-duration calendar controls that was affecting IE 8 users only.

The new Whats Happening page is up!

A few new sections of news category types were just added to our already existing press releases section. These new sections include News & Events and Site Updates. They also have individual RSS feeds to go along with them.

News & Events will give you some of the smaller day to day stories related to iPromote. It's a less formal section and gives us an easier way to communicate with any iPromote followers. The existing Press Release category is reserved for the bigger news stories. The Site Updates page will tell you when our development team updates the site with new features. There will be a list of all new updates each time we release a new version so make sure to grab the Site Updates RSS Feed if you would like to stay up to date on the latest iPromote featureset.

On top of all this, we have a general "What's Happening" page which takes all these news categories and merges them all into one long list. Grab the What's Happening RSS Feed to be aware of ALL things happening at iPromote. We hope you like these new additions we made and look forward to keeping you in the know with what's happening at iPromote.

iPromote.com Opens Door to Simple, Automated Internet Display Advertising

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - December 2, 2008 — In this time of economic uncertainty, businesses are looking for new and innovative ways to advertise their products and services. iPromote.com recently introduced a service that gives any website owner the power to quickly and easily promote products, events or services to millions of Internet users. Users simply enter a webpage address at www.ipromote.com and click "Create My Ads." iPromote's WebpageToAds™ technology analyzes their page, selects the most relevant content, and instantly builds a rich media display advertising package that is ready to be shown to millions of people across the iPromote ad network.

"Most businesses have invested significant resources designing and creating the content on their website," says Michael Barr, CEO. "However, many do not have the time or resources to create and manage display ads to bring people to these sites. Our product makes this possible for someone with a budget as small as $5 per day. It really puts the power of display advertising in the users' hands."

iPromote enables users to easily access display advertising on a cost-per-click basis, the same way they have been using search ads. With iPromote, users get tens of thousands of ad views but only pay when people are delivered to their site, making it easy to measure the success of their campaigns. Unlike search-based text ads, iPromote's graphical display ads proactively drive people to designated websites. iPromote makes this possible by utilizing several patent-pending technologies that eliminate the costs associated with developing creative assets, buying ad space, and serving ads.

iPromote's local to global solution geo-targets ads to any region: city, state, country, or worldwide. Users can promote a business in the surrounding areas where their customers reside or on a national level to help them expand. Using real-time reporting, advertisers can see exactly when and where their ads are the most effective and concentrate future advertising and promotion efforts in those areas.

iPromote also partners with websites to enable them to offer display advertising directly to their members. Enterprise partners generate an incremental revenue stream and increase traffic back to their website when their users start an iPromote advertising campaign. Implementation is easy and partners receive a revenue share from iPromote.

iPromote, a division of 2KDirect, operates offices in San Luis Obispo, California and New York, New York. Their services provide a simple way for small businesses and individuals to advertise on the Internet. Their professional quality multimedia display banners and serving technology significantly reduce the overall time and expense of Internet advertising. iPromote offers a self-service display advertising solution from automatic ad creation to ad serving and real-time reporting. 2KDirect also operates the PrecisionClick™ Network and AdXpert™ ad serving technology.
